Lofty Heights Movement (LHM) is where art and movement intersect to  elevate your consciousness.

We are a community resource that educates and inspires people to embrace a healthy lifestyle through movement classes, art and bodywork in a safe, inclusive space.

Our mission is to change the perception that barriers exist to living a healthy lifestyle based on race, body type, or income with inclusive yoga classes and embodiment coaching to support your growth, inside and out.

We aim to highlight artists and vendors in the community by partnering with them to facilitate classes or providing products to sell in the storefront.

Learn About Our Offerings

My name is Jazy, I am the creator of Lofty Heights Movement, Yoga Instructor, Rest Advocate, Joy practitioner and Bronx Native!

jazy013

In 2012, I  completed my 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certification and I am in my tenth year of teaching yoga for all ages.

I studied anatomy and somatic practices facilitated by Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Matthews. It opened my eyes on how to approach movement in a supportive and accessible way for all body types.  I was introduced to techniques like Body-Mind Centering (BMC), Bartenieff Fundamentals and Proprioceptive (PNF). It gave me a whole new way to connect and be in relationship with the body. I am able to translate these movement based practices to the communities I serve in the Bronx and NYC area.

I completed two children’s yoga teacher training certifications with Karma Kids and Bent On Learning, as well as an apprenticeship with Lineage Project that brings mindfulness programs to incarcerated, homeless, and academically vulnerable youth. As well as a being the Program Manager and Teacher Training assistant at Bent on Learning from 2019-2022. Currently in the process of receiving my 500hr yoga teacher training with Legendary Yoga and Wellness and Meditation Teacher Training with Davidji.

I am committed more than ever to bring movement- based and wellness practices to communities of color with the sole purpose of making it accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability, gender, race or income. I build upon my knowledge in community building and therapeutic practices to help individuals find agency within themselves through the movement.
